15 Years of Impact: Alabama Tet Festival 2026

What began as one woman’s search for purpose has grown into fifteen years of impact and a celebration that carries memory, culture, and care across generations.

After visiting the children at an Abandoned Little Angels supported center in Vietnam, Thu Duong returned home inspired to make a meaningful impact for those in need.
Alongside Thuy Le, Cindy Lai, and Kim Anh Tran, she created the Alabama Tet Festival, an annual celebration that brings community together while raising crucial funds for orphaned and disadvantaged children who receive support through ALA.
What started as a small gathering has grown into a vibrant festival welcoming more than 700 guests each year. Through home-cooked dishes, music, and shared traditions, the event creates a space where memories are honored, identity is carried forward, and new connections are formed, all while inviting others to be part of the cause.
Fifteen years later, their commitment remains strong: honoring the past, strengthening community in the present, and building brighter futures for children, one act of love at a time.
Abandoned Little Angels extends its heartfelt gratitude to these four ladies for their philanthropic work and dedication to supporting our mission. We look forward to celebrating their success at our 24th annual gala, "Safari by Night," on May 1, 2026.
