Abandoned Little Angels Partners with Local Philanthropists to Serve Houston’s Third Ward
Kevin and Patty Godfrey + ALA Adopted Six Local Families for Christmas
Throughout the holiday season we worked with Third Ward residents and community advocates, Kevin and Patty Godfrey to provide gifts and a holiday meals local families.
Each family will received presents and clothing for the children, as well as a few items for the parents, and much needed household items. These families have children ranging in age from 11 months to 13 years old and have been financially impacted this year.
“Patty is a longtime friend of mine and has been my mentor on many fundraising campaigns,” said Frances Chenne, Executive Director of Abandon Little Angels. “She has been a dedicated champion of our Houston communities and we are grateful to be able to partner with her and Kevin through our Meals to Heal program.”
At the inception of the COVID-19 pandemic, ALA launched the Meals to Heal campaign to deliver 2020 meals to healthcare workers across the Houston area. Through the generous support of individuals and businesses, the campaign raised $30,000 and has been able to deliver over 3600 meals and serve countless people throughout the community.
